Facets are the sensing hardware; they authenticate as machine identities and stream Signals over MQTT (EMQX).
Refractions are org-scoped workflow graphs. Stages include filters/branches, loops/delays, device commands, transforms, lookups, capture-set read/write, approvals, AI steps (classify/extract/OCR), and integrations (HTTP, email, Slack, Telegram, and more).
Capture Sets are append-only. They are the durable output and the thing you export.
Spectrum composes live Views from Widgets over the same data.
